The Mazury Lake Region - a paradise for storks 2008-12-02

Mazury is a synonym for nature's beauty. Fresh air, forests, clean waters of the Mazury lakes and thousands of storks who found home in the region - that is why Mazury is often called either "the storks' paradise" or "the land of a thousand lakes".

If you are interested in history you will find lots of interesting places here. Wolf's Lair - Adolf Hitler's famous headquarters, the magnificent baroque sanctuary in Swieta Lipka or the Ostroda-Elblag Canal - the only one of this kind in the world! And still functioning!

The Lake Region of Mazury is also an ideal place for active holiday. Here you can enjoy swimming, hire a boat or canoe, cycle across the region's slopes and hills or simply go on a walk in the nearby forests.
